Simply J's has probably got to be the perfect romantic and cutesy spot to bring a girl: the low lighting and country-inspired interiors are Cebu's own version of Bisaya shabby chic: white lawn chairs, woodsy artifacts, fresh flowers, and white porcelain all around. Owners and cousins Jacob Sy Dico and Jonathan Sy are both responsible for the array of comfort-food (with a unique twist, of course) on the Simply J's menu.
Head Chef Jacob along with Cheft Vicky Sy make up the culinary team that whip up delights like baby back ribs, lengua, and the Salsa Cream Dory. Dessert favorites such as the mango ice cream shake, leech flan, apple pie and blueberry cheesecake are a feast for the mouth! Fresh smoothies are also a must-have here, and make a perfect addition with one of Simply J's gourmet sandwiches for a scrumptious merienda!
The restaurant itself, with its laid-back interiors, can be found behind the Country Classics store (a specialty shop selling furniture, craft items, and jewelry) across the Parklane Hotel. A one-of-a-kind pair, both Country Classics and Simply J's make a cute dining and furniture store tandem, one that visitors to Cebu should never miss out on!
